PHILOSOPHY
For Spring Summer 23, The Filiarmi Woman’s style has a distinct 30s retro feel, underpinned by a Mediterranean mood of sea and sunset. Parachute-like voluminous ruffle necklines cascade maxi floor length gowns in deep teal and monochrome, with tangerine butterfly-bodiced mini dresses and pared-back aqua silk midi skirts mimicking the seashore at sunrise.
Ocean navy and coral shades accentuate the coastal colour palette, mixed with sumptuous frill details, sheer puff sleeving and Filiarmi’s signature wave. Staying true to the Filiarmi aesthetic, signature styles, such as the eyelet studded Daisy and Granada dresses, the Fellini and Dolly minis as well as the Ricarda and Fabiola mid-length silhouettes have carried through into SS23, renewed in this season's colourways.
The Franz bustier from SS22 has also been reborn in two new styles, the Indira mini and Susan gown, and the playful signature Dolly dress has been reshaped with a more modest, mid length hem line. Both the Beth and Winona jumpsuits also look back to the Lisa jumpsuit from Resort 22, with their deep, sheer cut necklines.
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Filiarmi was founded in March 2020 by Gozde Arig who inherited her creative nature from her parents, with her father being an international award-winning caricaturist and her mother owning a textile company. Growing up in such a creative environment, Gozde developed a passion for art and design at a young age. In 2011 Gozde graduated from London College of Fashion and went on to train under Emilia Wickstead and Charles Anastase. Using this experience to hone her skills, she decided to go out on her own and launch her own brand.
