Autumn Winter 22 showcases an effortless nod to the 1960s Italian La Dolce Vita, embracing and reimagining the Istanbul-based cocktail and evening wear designer’s signature styles. Founder and Creative Director, Gozde Arig, who trained under Emilia Wickstead after graduating from London College of Fashion, empowers women with her contemporary, minimal designs. Her dresses use colour and shaping to enhance and celebrate the female form, making the wearer feel good inside and out.

Arig comments, “This season sees a return of Filiarmi’s signature minimal scallop shapes, developed since their first inception in the SS20 collection, coalesced with vintage elegance of Federico Fellini’s 1960s La Dolce Vita. Sweetheart necklines and wistfully flowing silk skirts reflect the style of Fellini’s Anita Ekberg, produced in nostalgic retro shades of dusty pink, navy blues, rich monochromes and dark yellow ochre.”

Frilled bodicing reaffirms the status of Arig’s take on the little black dress, and sheer plunging necklines define jumpsuits and floor length gowns. Cappuccino ribboned detailing, as first appeared in Filiarmi’s debut collection returns, and two of Arig’s signatures, the Henrietta and Daisy, are reimagined in blushed rose and aqua green.

Filiarmi was founded in March 2020 by Gozde Arig who inherited her creative nature from her parents, with her father being an international award-winning caricaturist and her mother owning a textile company. Growing up in such a creative environment, Gozde developed a passion for art and design at a young age. In 2011 Gozde graduated from London College of Fashion and went on to train under Emilia Wickstead and Charles Anastase. Using this experience to hone her skills, she decided to go out on her own and launch her own brand.
